The fifth edition of the annual awards Alfa, for people and institutions with their work, perseverance and spirit that can help provide an opportunity for children and adolescents and Messengers of Peace gives Madrid, was successfully held and with large numbers of people at the Teatro Lara in Madrid, on Tuesday, 1 December.
The ceremony for the awards was presented by journalist and writer, Paloma Aznar Vampirella, who masterfully led the entire event, which began with the interpretation of two guitar melodies played by singer-songwriter Aidan Bartley, on tour These days, Spain.
then began the ceremony of the Awards this year were awarded to:
> Enrique Miret Magdalena, lay theologian.
Messengers of Peace Madrid wanted to pay tribute, posthumously, for his long record of support and listen attentive, because his wisdom and serenity and good sense has contributed to the expertise of Messengers of Peace, sanctioning for years with his presence, our Association.
> Juan Ignacio de la Mata Gutierrez: Counsel at Office of the Bar Association of Madrid. Collect the prize

its rights and fundamental freedoms of unaccompanied minors, some succeeding in their claims through the courts, have been assumed by the courts.
> Police Solidarity: NGOs that arises as a growing social feeling among members of the Unified Police Union .
Receives Award MpazM Alfa for sharing problems, not easy, for those who are no longer children to get older without documentation, appear together in all those political and social forums have at their disposal.
> Frogs and Princesses: First review plans for parents and children from 0 to 12 years, designed for shared leisure time is the most fun for the whole family.

"Estos días cumplo my fortieth year in Messengers of Peace and I say that we remain faithful to our history, demanding equal treatment of children in distress or at risk. This seems very simple and not always done right is to expose ".
For our part, Mpazm intends to contribute to the struggle for the equal treatment and overall improvement in the lives of our children, innovating for the bureaucracy we do not remove the time needed to get and listen, to talk and silence, telling stories, playing ... And so we have an intranet and a computerized educational program of their own design. We are developing a computer academy to open itself to the doors and they can fly as far as possible recovering undue delay.

In its third year, the network of educators has begun to develop its business plan for the course 2009-10. The first one was held on Saturday October 24 in Cercedilla (Madrid) and was the holding of a "coexistence with the main objective was that its members" recharge "for the new year trying to his raising strategies to facilitate the implementation in their schools or charitable projects if these already exist, trying to see how they could be enhanced. For this design a meeting with formative moments and exchange of experiences among which include:

This group, formed with the aim of promoting social action and solidarity among young people, helped by a decision of the students in one of the activities of the NGO International Cooperation.
winning action consists of distributing breakfast to homeless people as an excuse to start a conversation with them and make them visible against forgetfulness widespread suffering. The activity was held for four hours Saturday in the area of \u200b\u200bAtocha in Madrid. Likewise, the Arturo Soria solidarity group has developed several film-forum meetings to raise awareness and sensitize the school community. They have also launched their own website ( www.prometeo-gs.org ) to promote the example of social action.
As we all know a group of 9 students and 1 teacher will travel to the Dominican Republic to live in the South project in Barahona Young girls and boys of his age that will inlovidable experience for all of them.

· On the other hand, for the first time Solidarity Initiative transcends national boundaries and that there have been nine initiatives from Argentina. Among them JYD has granted an international reference organization Intransigente Mar del Plata Youth through the Zero Waste project . This initiative commitment to raising awareness of the uncontrolled dumping of wastes, looking simultaneously the social reintegration of 'pickers' or recovered from road debris.
Congratulations to all winners and our sincere appreciation for the work that each of you have developed in your centers. Hopefully next year will continue to grow the number of joint initiatives, because it means that our network grows and more people want to fight for a better world.

A maximum of two teachers responsible for each award-winning educational experience will travel to Guatemala to participate in "Exchange and Training Seminar on Good Practices in Education for Development" held under the auspices of the AECI. The Seminar will be held at the Training Center of Cooperation English in Antigua from 31 August to 6 September 2009, will last 40 hours as education credits recognized by the Ministry of Education.

First from Change Course wanted to thank you for the interest shown by our association since its inception. We are pleased to inform you that I have opened the Call for Help Social Projects. The basic criteria to qualify for it are:
only accept applications from organizations identified as public utilities or foundations.
That the proposed project is aimed at education anywhere in the world.
Submit annual reports of the past 2 years. If you do not have this documentation should contact Change Course.
Submit a full project report that explains the economic needs of the same, the objectives to be achieved, and how to monitor the results.
The Change Course members should actively participate in the proposed project, to monitor the fate of our funds has been successful.
Adaptation of the proposal to the principles and ethics in the field of development cooperation.

I'm writing to share some of our initiative in the Arturo Soria school if any of you @ s you might come in handy. We
we are working on youth volunteering initiative comes from the students. Searching the internet, I found the NGO International Cooperation ( http://www.cooperacioninternacionalong.org ) which is helping us develop this activity. This NGO has several volunteer programs for young people between 16 and 18. The program that best suited our needs is called "Breakfast Solidario" and is to follow a route marked by the entity to provide breakfast (thermos with coffee and cookies, or similar) to the homeless.
good thing is that besides providing the thermos and take a training course, they cost as much transportation to the area will be out the activity (usually in the center) as the breakfast itself.
s For us it was a great help to have them and the availability and kindness with which we have tried. So I encourage you to visit their website and perhaps you can include your activities in your projects.

few months ago a few friends, most former leaders of the CJA (College Youth Centre Salesian Atocha), founded an NGO called Change Course. The idea of \u200b\u200bthis NGO, broadly speaking, is to create economic activities that work the same any company whose profits are used to finance charitable projects. The first activity they have created is + QueClases , a tutoring service. In principle, began managing private lessons at home but are now more open field and efforts are starting classes and extracurricular activities and special language activities (urban camps, summer camps abroad, etc..). FOLLOWING MEETING DATES FOR NETWORK JTM
Encounter Youth Network
These meetings can assist students who wish aged 15-18 years. So far we have done 4 meetings.
They have performed dynamics of knowledge and awareness aimed at the implementation of a project. This project aims to encourage young people:
· detect and analyze the social problems that concern them.
· seek and implement solutions that can remedy these problems.
· assess the strengths and areas for improvement of the process they have done.
will be very interesting for our students to participate with other kids from other schools, in developing this project. At first it is good to accompany them an educator from the center but there are several students who are attending on their own!
The dates of future meetings are:
- February 6 (Friday) youth meeting at 16:30. The meeting will be held at the Youth Center Atocha, C / Marqués de la Valdivia 4 (you can also enter the Salesian College of Atocha, Ronda de Atocha 27). If you click here, you can see the site map.
- March 3 (Tuesday) meeting at 17:00 young
- March 31 (Tuesday) meeting at 17:00 young

However also seems interesting to open this meeting to all those boys and girls who have been working on some Solidarity Initiative along the course to know how the network and participate in awareness workshops solidarity issues to be undertaken. Ages 15-18 years ago.
Important: Attendance at the coexistence of pupils in a teacher to accompany them the same center.
· educator @ s For : As many have proposed making a third meeting, we plan to take the place we're going with youth and organize a parallel meeting of educator @ s. You can participate in different ways:
