Solidarity Economy Network emerged in 2001 from an international seminar "Building trust for an economy of solidarity" organized by the Vicariate of the Social Pastoral in order to reflect on the current economic model, the world of work and quality of life of the sectors popular. The Vicariate Pastoral Social (VPS) was founded in 1993 as a continuation of the social work of the Vicariate of Solidarity, an institution that ecumenical and pluralistic vocation, had a distinguished career in the defense and promotion of human rights at the serious violations of human dignity have taken place since the breakdown of democracy in Chile until he won the return to democracy in our country.
