Solidarity Economy Network-Santiago


Solidarity Economy Network emerged in 2001 from what was the Building Seminar trusts for a solidarity economy organized by the Vicariate Pastoral Social. Our mission

Solidarity Economy Network of Santiago de Chile, whose mission is to promote the values \u200b\u200band rationality of the Solidarity Economy and its varied expressions and alternative forms of organization in production, trade and consumption.

This is developed through dissemination activities, training, coordination, systematization of experiences and visibility of its agents and promoters through the action of the component institutions and of itself.

Our Objectives


1. Visible, and positioning the proposed upgrade of the Solidarity Economy, from an ethical-value approach implies the need to promote changes in our social, cultural and political.

2. Promote ethical and responsible consumption as part of the central challenges of the regional network.

3. Promote the exchange between networks of economic solidarity at regional, national and international.

4. Promote training and meeting between producers and members of economic organizations popular way to go to strengthen a common discourse from the network.

Our Guiding Principles

• With Solidarity Economy retrieve the links between economics and ethics, present in the original concept of economy and should never be lost, since that has led to situations of inequity and injustice that exist in neoliberal capitalist society.
• Solidarity Economy has an inclusive, not exclusive, which will integrate and develop multiple and diverse forms of organization and action. This consists of various ways and those who travel these roads have something in common, it is to make solidarity economy.
• We understand that other economy possible as part of another world is possible and necessary that we build. That is, we believe in the need to link the economy to politics, culture, ecology.
• Solidarity Economy promotes people's real role, the assessment of their work, real tool for social and economic change.
